Spiral Chute

Description:Spiral chute spiral gravity separator is also called spiral concentrator or gravity separator, it's a kind of gravity concentrator which can separate mineral particles according to density, granularity and shape by the interaction of centrifugal force, friction force of chute surface, water flow pressure and gravity of minerals.

Application:It is suitable for separation of 0.3-0.02mm fine materials such as iron ore, ilmenite ore, chromite ore, pyrite ore, zircon ore, rutile ore, monazite ore, tungsten ore, tin ore, tantalum ore, niobium ore and other materials with enough specific gravity difference. It is the best roughing gravity equipment, which has been widely used in ferrous and nonferrous metal mines.

Working Principle

Erect the spiral chute, calibrate the vertical line, fix it in a suitable position with an iron frame or wood, spiral chute is working under the force of water flow, gravity, inertial centrifuge and friction. Slurry is pumped to the top of the spiral,and it enters a feed distributor that evenly distributes the feed to each spiral concentrator. The design and shape of the spiral make it work,when combined with gravitational acceleration.As the slurry travels the spiraling path down the spiral,mineral grains settle and start sorting according to size,density and to a lesser extend shape.Low density particles are carried with the bulk of the water towards the outside of the spiral,while particles with the greatest density migrate towards the inside of the spiral.
